Ethan Isn't Bacon is part of the series Little Animals, Mean World - a picture book series for vegan, vegetarian and conscious kids, igniting their curiosity about the animal use in various industries while encouraging kind ways to help. One day, as Ethan, the pig, is riding in the car with his dad, he sees a truckload of other pigs. He is shocked to learn that that these pigs are becoming food for humans. Ethan thought all pigs lived the same great life he does, but after finding out the truth, he knows he has to do everything he can to save them. He organizes his friends to form a protest along the road. Day after day, his friends hold signs to get the truck driver to stop. One day, it finally does. Can Ethan convince the driver to not take the pigs to their final destination, but let them go free instead?
