"A Cow In My Parlour" is an amusing look at farming in the 1950s, the sequel to "Buttercup Jill" in which Peggy Grayson recounted her early life on farms and in the Women's Land Army. Grayson married an aspiring actor but he soon gave up the profession and embarked on farming life with some trepidation. Their adventures on various farms, the hilarious moves and the characters encountered are all related with much humor. Amidst suicidal pigs, flooded fields, falling thatch, escaping heifers and other such disasters she shows her fortitude in the face of impending doom.
