At 12 years old, professional comedian Ginger Mancino has drawn laughs on stages across the country and even performed on the most popular late night comedy show. But when she’s forced to retire from comedy and live a regular life for the first time, she discovers her toughest audience yet: middle school. After a big misstep, Ginger goes from being a school nobody to a social outcast overnight. But a new BFF and a series of mystery texts (possibly from her comedy idols!) give her the confidence to use her humor in new ways and stand up for herself. Things are finally looking up when Ginger is faced with the most difficult decision of her life, and the wrong choice just might cost her the first real friend she’s ever had.
