This Thing of Ours

A farm girl smuggling moonshine, a playboy mafia prince, and the murderer who brought them together. Viola Higglebottom, a young, unwed mother during the Great Depression, was willing to risk everything by selling liquor to provide for her family. That risk ended up bringing her into the path of the local mafia don's younger brother, Dominic Moretti, who was cheerfully determined to charm her. As Viola knew very well that she was no great catch and had long ago put thoughts of romance aside, she couldn't take Dominic seriously. But then there was murder and deception, a careful attack on the Moretti family by an unknown enemy.
