Times change. Witches have become the hunted… For Claire, an emotionally devastated young woman, who is living with her sister and raised by a man that they were told is their father, moving is all she knows. Poor and living in one dilapidated house after another, their father has kept from them the fact that they are on the run. They are also witches, something else of which they are unaware. And now Claire's life is soon to be turned upside down when her world-traveling aunt drops in for a visit. For the Prophecies tell of a time when there will be a great war and the orphans of the Witches' Council shall reunite under the leadership of a new queen to again take their place in the world. Claire soon finds herself pursued by members of a shadowy organization, on the run for a crime she didn’t commit, and imprisoned by jealous witches. And, not only must she survive, Claire must find the strength to lead the new generation of witches in an epic battle of magic versus technology against a tech giant intent on ruling the world …. a battle in which their only hope for survival lay in a lost spell.
