A brilliant engineer named Shawn tries to find a new means for living after the strange and mysterious death of his daughter. Pushing himself further and further into his work due to the lonely and barren life he now lives, he creates a dangerous new machine that gateways into a different period of time. In doing so however, he meets a young girl who has an ability to not only change his life, but all of humanity. With conspiracy and deception all around him, Shawn must help this girl escape the evil force of this new government and give her a chance for a normal life. This girl is powerful and as time continues on it becomes manifested that she has always been meant for so much more. With grief and despair filling Shawn's head, he devotes himself as her protector and must ensure her safety and freedom from this dark new world.
