Love in the Slow Lane is a comedic short story collection featuring characters from the imagination of Emmy award-winning producer and writer Dana Jennings with art by Ben Jelter. In Happy Sly Day, a woman recounts her colorful grandma's obsession with actor Sylvester Stallone and the lengths she went to meet him. In Potluck Schmuck, a married couple reminisces on their meeting and how a dramatic family member nearly kept them apart. In Clinker, a promiscuous elderly man receives bad news from his doctor and ends his 58-year marriage to be with his mistress. Clinker was adapted from the BlueCat Screenplay Competition quarter-finalist script of the same name. Praise for Love in the Slow Lane: "The book is quirky and funny, and the illustrations add a special element that really completes the package." - @bbdosbooks Praise for Clinker: "By using older characters, the script takes an interesting look at love, marriage, and happiness through the eyes of people who have lived most of their lives, but are still learning ... It’s a very simple story that makes the most out of its setting and cast with real and relatable stakes. The dialogue is well-written, realistic and engaging." - BlueCat Screenplay Competition
