Hope there are more!' 5-stars BRIDGE TO ETERNITY (Book 1)'This is a stunning debut by an author I will actively seek out in the future. Not an easy book to categorise — part ghost story, part romance, with a dual timeline that raises intriguing questions about events in the past at an abandoned school boarding house. We first meet widowed Audrey Willatt on her way to the neglected building she's purchased. What are the reasons behind her move, and are the stories about the place being haunted of any real substance? There were moments that gave me genuine chills. The moon reappeared from behind the cloud and cast a small, human shadow on the far wall. 'Thank you' are two words that can mean a lot in the right context, but written in the dust that lay on the windowpane across the top landing, they scared Audrey more than she thought possible. The author also imbues the book with wonderful imagery — The windows, a mix of architectural styles, revealed no life within; copper pennies on the eyes of a dead body. Beautifully written, with twists I genuinely didn't see coming, Bridge To Eternity is an accomplished piece of work which I highly recommend.
