EXPROPRIATION THE ENCOUNTER
Derek Goneke The woods of Colorado are infested with aliens.
Jonah is a local science fiction fan, slash budding writer who lives his life poring over sci-fi books and media, discreetly for fear of being seen as a weirdo. When he and his work colleagues have been forced to camp away in the Colorado forest, they are miles away from home and without the internet or reception. The only consolation is that Trina is with him, an assistant to a meteoriticist tasked with a mission, whom he meets in the same forest and the only one who seems to listen to him in confidence and tolerate his sci-fi ramblings. However, Jonah and his friends are in for a surprise after encountering an intergalactic creature in the woods.
Sergeant Derek Rivers is a non-believer of science fiction. With a rocky marriage grappling behind him, he goes on a mission with meteoriticist Dr. Lena Bhatt, a single woman living an exciting life probing on the existence of atypical creatures all around the world and later finds herself dealing with an existential crisis while trying to expose the aliens operating in the Colorado woods.
Daunted and disoriented, Jonah and his friends were brought to counseling only to be told that what they experienced was merely caused by a strain of stress. Nevertheless, he believes in his heart that all of it was real and could mean that his lifelong dream of proving that aliens are not just creatures found in books and movies will soon come to life. They connect with the soldier, the meteoriticist, and her attractive assistant. Together, they embark on a journey to fight and expose the aliens while dealing with personal issues and feelings for each other.
