Cowboy Blues

From the back of the book: Andy Jones is missing. That's what the guy in the cowboy hat told me after he made his way to my office. It didn't take long to get the situation figured out. Andy Jones and Tyler Monroe had known each other for fifteen years, ever since Andy was a teenaged runaway looking for a place to call home. Obviously, they had become lovers -- even if Tyler wasn't about to use that term. And, while Tyler seemed like a pretty good catch, it was clear to me that nothing complicated had happened to Andy Jones. It was simple. After fifteen years, Andy had just decided to look for fresher pastures somewhere else. Or so I thought at first. Then that theory got shot to hell, in a pretty literal way. And it was my job to find out just what really did happen to Andy Jones. Before I was done, I found myself wishing more than once that the case was as simple as it had seemed at first.
