Paul Dayrell 2015 second edition is now available! 'The Pett Level Landings' is about the build up to Adolf Hitler's planned invasion of Great Britain, codenamed, 'Operation Sealion'. German troops land at Pett Level to prepare the ground for the large task force. They hide in Beckley Wood, and are able to carry out their preparation works undiscovered. Luckily for Great Britain, Winston Churchill had established his own secret army, in readiness for the attack. Finally they are discovered, and a huge propaganda coup for Churchill ensues. Unfortunately six British people are killed during the action and Churchill goes to extraordinary lengths to cover up these deaths, on the basis that the knowledge that German troops had managed to land on British soil could evoke widespread panic.
