Matilda of Canossa & the Origins of the Renaissance

This catalogue offers a permanent record of the first American museum exhibition dedicated to Matilda of Canossa, Countess of Tuscany (1046-1115). This exhibition was organized by the Muscarelle Museum of Art in collaboration with the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at The College of William and Mary in honor of the 900th Anniversary of Matilda's death on July 24, 1115.
