Separating History from Myth in Srinagar

A wonderful chapter from Selina Sen’s Zoon, reminding us of the paradise Kashmir is, where love happens amidst the magic of nature… Production Assistant, Joya Banerjee, lands in Kashmir to scout for suitable locations for a film she is working on. She meets Rashid, a young Kashmiri historian, who is to help her in her quest. Joya is awe-struck by the beauty of Kashmir but finds her enthusiasm unreciprocated by the taciturn Rashid. As the two unlikely companions set about visiting places and exploring locations, with the breathtakingly beautiful Valley as their background, each tries to understand the other and comes up with interesting reflections.
