Every photographer has something to say with their photographs. Famous photographer, Henry Cartier Bresson, said, "To photograph is to hold one's breath, when all faculties converge to capture fleeting reality. It's at that precise moment that capturing an image becomes a great physical and intellectual joy." In volume one, of Ray Tutaj's, "People , Places, and Things," we view the evidence of that "great physical and intellectual joy." A variety of subjects, from picturesque landscapes, to semi-nudes, and everything else in-between. Some of the images may tell a story, and others might be for historical preservation, and others to simply please the eye with the composition, beauty, and uniqueness of the subject. The ebook includes a plentiful 170 images; framed with a black-matte border to create an art-gallery viewing-experience Another of Ray's favorite thoughts on photography is by Ansel Adams, who said, "A great photograph is a full expression of what one feels about what is being photographed, in the deepest sense and is thereby a true expression of what one feels about life and it's entirety." One more thought, by well-known photographer, Dorothea Lange, "One should really use the camera as though tomorrow you'd be stricken blind." The fact is, Ray is legally-blind; having a hereditary eye disease called retinitis pigmentosa; leaving him with only 15% field of vision. Despite the disability, he has produced an artistic output that exceeds the expectations of one who has so little eyesight to work with. Thus we can appreciate his images all the much more and be interested to see his works; to see what this man of passion can do despite the obstacle of poor vision. You will discover, Tutaj, has a voracious appetite for life and capturing it. He says, "Sometimes I want to cry when I see such fleeting beauty pass before my eyes, in people, places and things in the world, and not been able to freeze those moments in time with the camera." He has a wide spectrum of interests. Through his many creative outlets, he has had something to say through his music, paintings, writings, model-building, and photography. Here you will begin to discover who he is. You are sure to find something within these pages to catch your eye, to capture your heart, imagination, and perhaps tingle your senses; an image that will leave a lasting impression on you.
