She holds masters degrees in health administration, nursing and creative writing, and a PhD from Duquesne University. Over a long nursing career, she’s worked in ICUs and emergency rooms, and served on a major hospital’s ethics committee for fifteen years. Her articles have been published in Nurse Educator, Clinical Simulation in Nursing, and other professional journals. Despite a specialization in the death and dying process, she’s actually an upbeat person who enjoys life.
