The Redhead is Dead

Donna Rand never wanted to be a detective. As a Boston TV news Assignment Editor, she's busy orchestrating coverage of New England's grisliest murder spree since the Boston Strangler: The Packing Crate Killer case. She's content living in her tiny Beacon Street apartment with her rescue cat, Boomer. But a confrontation with a noisy neighbor unexpectedly draws her into the very heart of the story. She finds herself beaten, abducted and potentially jobless as she pursues the case in a search for answers. She can only hope to prevent the next murder, while avoiding becoming another victim. Donna becomes a modern-day Sherlock Holmes; instead of Scotland Yard, she has the manpower of a great metropolitan newsroom to help track down her leads. Instead of Dr. Watson, her painter neighbor Charles is her sounding board as she meets the challenges of her fast-paced life and a mild but persistent case of OCD.
