Madeline Mpoyi made a choice to focus on the sweeter things in life; chocolates, strawberry laces and sherbet. After all, those things happened to be a million miles away from her childhood and her desperate escape from war-torn Rwanda. To thank the soldier who did all he could to help her and her father flee the horrors of her former homeland, Madeline sends boxes upon boxes of treats to give that same soldier a small glimpse of sweetness wherever he may be.
