The Halfling

Ten year Colm grows up with the nagging feeling he's supposed to be somewhere else. Father Shamus is a priest for whom the church, and the children of the Sister's of Good Hope Orphanage, are his life. Their lives become entwined when baby Colm is abandoned on the doorstep of Saint Ignatius in the middle of the night. Face to face with two seemingly insurmountable dilemmas -- finding a place to call home for Colm, and the prevention of the closure of the church and orphanage for the priest, they discover strength in each other, and love.
