With a background in fashion and her heart in all things Indigenous, Lisa Charleyboy’s debut book Not Your Pocahontas, dives into appropriations, pop-culture and politics as she blends her story with her desire to change the climate around being an urban Native. Born out of a desire to fuel her fire and engage in writing, social media, and connect with Native people from all across Turtle Island (North America), Charleyboy speaks towards the Indigenous youth with positive success stories.
