Everyone loves an Alaska man, especially when he's the hometown hero…. The victim of a relentless stalker, Las Vegas burlesque dancer Tawney O'Hara leaves her life behind, heading home to the small Alaska town that once shunned her and her family. She's learned the hard way that she can't trust anyone, including the police. The last thing she wants or needs is a man in her life. After being tortured and nearly killed while working undercover, Rick Tabor quit his dangerous job as an undercover police detective in Seattle and has now taken a job as a bartender in his home town of Seward, Alaska. Needing the slower pace, the room to breathe, he's caught off guard when Tawney O'Hara returns to town. Tawney, the wildest girl in his class at school, the girl he almost married. Right away Rick realizes that Tawney doesn’t fit in this town and he begins to suspect there's more to her story than the need to be with her family. But Rick has no idea just how much trouble Tawney is in. And Tawney is afraid to trust anyone, especially the ex-police officer who once stole her heart, then left her at the altar. Yet, the more they are together, the more they can't deny the attraction between them. But it's not until they are put in jeopardy that Rick and Tawney realize they must trust each other or be torn apart forever.
