Corbin is a brilliant, aloof young drifter who keeps to himself and trusts no one. Molly is a cheerleader with a sunny disposition but a murky past. Together, this unlikely pair must find a way to cross three hundred mutant infected miles of piney woods in order to find Molly’s family. Along the way, they are rescued from certain death by a charismatic revolutionary named Jim. Corbin watches suspiciously as Molly is slowly but inextricably drawn into Jim’s world and the safe harbor of the town he has created. Ultimately, Corbin must leave the town behind, but not before Jim convinces him that if he cares for Molly, he must leave her behind as well. Devastated by the loss of the girl he has come to love, Corbin sets out on his own once again; however, fate intervenes, and Corbin discovers the truth about Jim and his town: he’s hiding a dark and terrible secret far worse than anything Corbin could have guessed. Aided by two new companions, Corbin must return to rescue Molly before it's too late.
