Stepsister Sally

After her mother died, Sally lived a quiet life at her grandmother's but now her father has remarried and wants Sally to come live with him and his new family. Sally is excited, not only to live with him again, but to have a whole ready made family. Her new stepmother is kind and she has three children -Don, a senior in high school, 3-year-old Bobby, and Dorothy who was only a year older than Sally. Sally is so excited about having a stepsister so close to her in age but everything goes wrong - Dorothy and everyone in town think Sally is slow witted and doesn't fit in, and after all her anticipation it seems as if the family doesn't need her to be complete.
