Every 28 hours, a Black person in the United States is shot by police. The reality of police violence touches many Black and Brown people every day, but the community response in Ferguson marked a change. Around the world, people have been inspired by the courage and humanity displayed in the face of state-sanctioned brutality. This collection of art, essays, and poetry grew out of that inspiration. In these pages are contained hopes, dreams, mourning, anger, pain, strength, and love. Each volume purchased will raise funds to support community organizations working to bring equity and justice to Black communities. These artists may not be able to give more than their voices, still their voices are mighty, and together they say "Black Lives Matter!"
