Stories from Nauru

A slim collection of pieces from the Pacific Island nation of Nauru, which records some traditional stories and some contemporary (late 20th-century) reflections on life during/after colonialism. The literary merit here is minimal—these mostly read like secondary school-level assignments—but the translation into English is at least smooth and they provide a glimpse into live in a country I otherwise know very little about.
