Silent Scream: A New Orleans Thriller
Graham Thompson Women are being brutally murdered in New Orleans. Their bodies, wrist cut, dumped in different locations inside the fabled French Quarter. The murderer gains the confidence of the young women through lies and deception coaxing them to his expensive French Quarter apartment. He laces their drinks with a drug that has never been seen by forensic experts, although the drug is similar to another chemical, succinylcholine chloride, a powerful muscle relaxant which is used by anesthesiologist during surgery to immobilize surgery patients. While the murder victims remain conscious and fully aware of what is happening to them they are unable to move.. Their bodies are completely paralyzed while they are raped and their wrist cut. Veteran New Orleans cop, Mason Thibodaux, follows the killers trail full circle, from the New Orleans French Quarter, to the bayous of south Louisiana, the Mississippi gulf coast, and back again to the French Quarter. The pursuit takes several unusual twist and turns and leaves the old cop with doubts about his own survival.
