In this third and last of a generational saga of love in wartime, Izzy, the daughter born in World War II Occupied Philippine Islands to American parents fighting for survival with an active guerrilla outfit, forfeits college to go to Vietnam. En route, she meets Abe, a soldier assigned to a unit in the Mekong Delta.
