This is clearly a book worth reading, and the audio is even better! Zipping Through Georgia on a Goat Powered Time Machine With Ludlow Porch and a Parrot Named Pete combines extraordinary history with clean-as-a-Bible-verse humor. The book lets you move from era to era on Ludlow’s newly designed time-machine as he and his pals witness key events in Georgia history. They see firsthand the capture of Jefferson Davis in 1965. They witness the emergence of kudzu in Georgia and see the famous carving on Stone Mountain being developed. And, while they’re at it, they even pop in on the Goat Man in 1956. You’ll see Georgia history happen up close and personal as this funny little league keeps trying to get to Savannah in 1733 to attend the state’s founding with the arrival of General James Oglethorpe and the first settlers. Zipping Through Georgia lets you laugh and learn at the same time. And, as Ludlow himself said after reviewing the first draft, “This ranks right up there with The Grapes of Wrath and some other book I read one time.”
