Callaghan Must Die

Declassified under the thirty year rule, the story of the Scottish Liberation Army’s plan to assassinate British Prime Minister James Callaghan can at last be told in full. In the wake of the failed Scottish devolution referendum of 1979 Aberdeen oil worker Tam McIver decides to take more direct action in a bid to secure Scottish independence. Recruiting fellow rig worker Dek Boyd to the cause, together with other local ne’er-do-wells, McIver forms the SLA’s notorious Cell B. The terror group has but a single objective, to deliver a message to the Westminster establishment; such a parcel of rogues will not deny the Scottish electorate its destiny. But as the appointed hour draws near will McIver prove to be a man of manifest destiny or a fool soon to be forgotten?
