If you’re easily offended, morally outraged by a few swear words, or the kind of judgemental asshole who polices how women should behave after a certain age then kindly shut this book and carry on living your safe, beige little life. This isn’t for you. Still here? Good. That tells me you’re one of the few with guts. A spark. A flicker of rebellion under the surface. Maybe you’re quietly fed up. Or maybe, like me, you’ve hit a point in your life where you’ve “Is this it?” You’ve ticked all the boxes, played by the rules, been the good girl, the wife, the mother, the employee and now you’re looking in the mirror wondering what the fuck happened to the woman you were before you made yourself smaller to fit in. This book is my middle finger to mediocrity. It’s about tearing up the script after 50, starting again, and doing life on your terms no matter what anyone thinks. I left a marriage, moved abroad, rebuilt my body, regained my confidence, and discovered that the second act can be even more thrilling than the first if you’ve got the balls (or in my case, the boobs) to go for it. So if you’re ready to laugh, cry, wince, and maybe get a kick up the arse in the process, turn the page. Because you’re going to die. So do it anyway.
