A Wizard's Home Port

On a world with three moons where the seas tides can rise or fall by one hundred and fifty feet or more and magic is real, death is swift. Elluween is a young woman in a world filled with Knight and Nobles vying for land and power. A land of supernatural creatures and monsters where mankind is in a near constant struggle for survival. Mortal Priests following the Gods and Goddesses of this world lead a people desperate to have a life despite the hardships of each day. They are locked in a spiritual battle to keep the souls of their people and their own. The Gods are active and their true priest rival the wizards in power so long as they serve the gods.Mankind was brought to this world to help the Allunian, Durnish, and Fay people in the wars where the Daemon hordes threatened to bring darkness to all the world, and beyond. One little woman with her companions, a dismayed Paladin Knight, a Priestess that some of the priesthood hope will die on the journey, a thief that is more then he appears, and an Allun Royal Far Scout, who had lost her King. What can one little woman that looks no more that seventeen bring to bear on such a world.She was one of three Apprentices to a one of the near God Wizard called Magi, that opened the gate to bring mankind into the world of Odem over three thousand years ago. The current Wizards of Odem have forgotten what it takes to train a true Wizard. But her master knows only too well, and not even the enemies that killed him, can stop him from finishing the training of a new Magi.But there are problems. Dark force are moving against Odem, from the South Seas two forces prepare, in North land the Berserker Nors are coming again, and the Dark Lord of the East has his own plans. Even in Odem the faction of nobles called the Sea Lords are hurting all the efforts of the royal council to move against the Daemon Hordes and break one of Odem's most powerful weapons. Its Fleets of war ship that control most of the sea trade in the known world.Elluween has her own problems. Most of her life was devoted to studying. She has learned from all the companions over time how to live and work with people, but trust is hard, and her companions are not just there to teacher, but to watch and report on her. For there is one thing that all of Wizards of the Allun, Durn, Fay, and Men know. Most of the wizards that try to cross the threshold and become Magi fail and die, or fall into darkness. Those the live ether become Dark Liches or a true Magi.But Elluween is older than she looks and wise in what she has learned. But in all that time there was one lesson she did not have time for. Now she must learn it or face death or eternal Darkness. Everyone that knows of what is happening is watching to see what will happen to the woman the Sea Lords call the Sea Witch.
