Are You Sure You Are Saved?
Chris Waugh I have attempted, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance, to thoroughly explain, while using Scripture to back up these explanations, crucial topics non-believers and believers of all levels of spiritual maturity must know while explaining them in such a way even children can understand. These topics understanding Jesus' work on the cross, the importance of someone counting the cost (realizing how drastically their lifestyles will change and knowing that they can't return to their old lifestyles "from that moment on") before they make a profession of faith to God, undeniable Biblical and common sense responses to those who teach that someone will go to Hell if they mention anything other than Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection to someone they are witnessing to or a congregation they are preaching to; six Biblical examples that prove sinners must be willing to follow Jesus “from this moment on” if they want to become a Christian, if their hearts aren't already stirred so much that they are willing to give Jesus their best no matter who or what tries to stop them; passages of Scripture that, when taught by different people, seem to contradict themselves; the tragedy that people believe they can live any way they want because they have a "Get out of Hell free card", the mistaken notion that being willing to become Jesus' disciple isn't important, the definition of true Biblical repentance, a summary of how a sinner must be willing to live “from that moment on”, and after they are willing to live that way, a sample prayer they can say in order to express their belief in Jesus' work on the cross and become a Christian; a Biblical list of the kind of things they will spend their life doing now that they are a Christian, the revelation that if the new Christian tries to and is increasingly able to live the way the Biblical list describes, they will know they are really saved - 2 Corinthians 13:5 "Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates (not really saved)?"; a long list of Bible verses that will apply to them if they live that way, a large section of explanations of Bible verses that go into more detail about how they can know if they are saved, how Christians should handle their money, the importance of Jesus being the Lord of a person’s life, how to live the Christian life (This breaks down every moment of the day and every area of someone's life.), step by step outlines on how to witness to others, how to witness to people who claim that they don't believe Jesus is the Savior of the world, how to have the faith that will result in answered prayers for yourself and others, how to council with someone who states, "There is no hope for the kind of situation that I’m in.", and an effective closing message for pastors and evangelists to use when preaching a message similar to the message covered in this book.God has graciously provided me with the words that will, no doubt, result in many precious souls being freed from the prison of having false assurance of their salvation. People and nations everywhere are starving for the messages found in this book. Now is the time for them to be freed.
