Following the brutal battle against the soldiers, Ash Trudges north alone after being forced to leave Kane dying in enemy hands. She eventually finds Will and begins to learn from the northerners when no one will help her go back for Kane, if he’s still alive. Through much heartache and grief, Ash and Will devise a plan to return to Hope by overthrowing Croydon, the King’s weapons manufacturing facility.
