Further Modern Scottish Stories

We offered Five Scottish One-Act Plays and Ten Modern Scottish Stories in the belief that Scottish readers should be given easy access to Scottish texts, should they wish to use them. The warm welcome given to these two books has encouraged us to compile the present volume of stories, this time chosen to appeal to the younger secondary-school reader, although the stories are capable of engaging the interest and exercising the critical talents of more mature pupils.
