New York City Noir

Sailor went off to fight World War Two, leaving behind his beautiful young wife Echo, and his job as a New York City police detective. After four years of fighting the Japanese in the Pacific, he returned home to find that he is out of a job, that his wife divorced him and married his former boss Francis Feeney, who is now a police captain.
