Written from personal experience and partially as a memoir, this is the first in the series of nine books that covers the physical, mental and financial journey from High School to present day of an amputee. I talk about the effect of health issues from childhood, dealing with parents expectations, puberty and dealing with the opposite sex, personal loss and trauma as well as recreating myself mentally as well as physically after loosing my lower right leg. I also had a broken femur and broke my back twice so the challenge was real but not unsurmountable. In the end I did what felt right for me and that is why I am not offering specific advice for others out there that are going through similar things. This is aimed to let people know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel you just have to find your own path. Through the series we will look at my participation in sports, hobbies and a lifestyle that seemed at the beginning unachievable. I look back sometimes and feel so privileged to be able to have experienced so much of life and want to share iwith others just what possibilities are out there for them and why it is always worth your time to reach out and try something new. The story isn’t always a happy one but I try to keep it real because that is life, we all have our ups and downs but I have always had a reason to get up the next morning,
