The Jackal King and the Threads of Wisdom
D.A. Chan Some have said that love without truth is folly, and truth without love is brutality. Most believe that the intention is to simply make sure that people share the truth in a way that is loving, and that if there is necessary offense in the telling of the truth, such offense should be understood and forgiven because of the clarity of the intention of the one speaking the truth.
In a world that has become so divided that any disagreement, no matter how loving the intention, is immediately labeled as some kind of bigotry or phobia, people seem to have lost the ability to hold two truths at the same something simultaneously true and offensive, or simultaneously false and pleasing. This short story is a humble attempt to communicate truth in a way that would, hopefully, minimize the necessary offense.
