“Lacie The Labradoodle” is an engaging children's story for ages 9 & up. The story reveals how a puppy, raised on a farm, is adopted by new owners. The puppy must leave the only world she has ever known. She also has to move away from her best friend, who was her last connection to life on the farm. The story depicts how she struggles with the many changes and challenges in her new environment. As the story progresses, the puppy overcomes these challenges as she learns to become stronger and more resilient. Many aspects of the story reveal strong role model qualities of the puppy that all children can identify with. There is also a "cliff-hanger" ending to entice the young reader to the sequel.
