Mr Cornelius Morris has just lost his spouse. He must run the venerable castle of Blickling Hall on his own. The wealthy businessman needs a considerable staff of servants to have parties in his magnificent castle built on the ruins of the old Boleyn property. But at the moment the widower feels overwhelmed and devastated. Fortunately he can rely on his trustworthy housekeeper, Mrs Barton. Peace seems to be settling upon the mournful widower when something terrible occurs. His savings have been robbed! The miserly client desperately requires the inestimable service of Sherlock Holmes who has to be very cautious – the reputation of the landlord of Blickling Hall shall not be tainted. The very circumstances of the robbery sound odd. According to Dr Watson the confusing widower seems to have lost his reason. Will Sherlock Holmes find a chain of logical sequences in a mystery verging on insanity?
