Retired Hollywood stuntwoman Ivy Lowell is looking for a Mrs. The almost-40-year-old swipes on dating apps like it’s her job, armed with her “Wife List” of desires and dealbreakers. But while she’s got an ideal woman on paper, no one keeps her attention in real life quite like the delicious owner of Besos Bakery. Analeigh Fonseca works hard and plays, well, almost not at all. She’s hustled her ass off to build her business by 25, and has the added financial pressure of helping her younger sister afford college. The bright spot in her too-busy days is the blonde bombshell owner of a local gym, whose crush on Ana is as obvious as her sweet tooth. When Ana’s coven of witchy friends persuades her to get out of her chef whites and bar hop on Halloween, she runs into Ivy, and they flirt and dance the night away. That is, until Ivy has to demonstrate her martial arts training on a drunk dude who can’t take Ana’s “no.” Impressed by Ivy rescuing her, Ana asks her for an arrangement: keep the gym open later so Ana can train after Besos’s business hours, and she’ll pay Ivy in pastries. Ana might have a crush, but that’s all it can be — Ivy is wealthy, accomplished, and already everywhere Ana is trying to get. Ana barely has time to sleep. When could she pencil in a relationship? Ivy thinks she can maintain professional distance, but the more she gets to know Ana, the more she rethinks who would make her happy. Ana is surely too young and too much of a workaholic to settle down, and yet Ivy is bewitched by her. What happens when you meet someone who could be the love of your life, but they’re in a different life stage?
