When a young teen is fatally beaten in an abandoned schoolyard, assistant district attorney Ben Lovison is assigned the case of prosecuting the alleged perpetrator, a seventeen year old wannabe rapper and current resident of Lovison's childhood home, Fathers House. Why are so many city leaders interested in the death of the young alleged dope dealer? Lovison learns that the answer is tied to his own childhood and that his childhood story of perseverance and overcoming was really one of deceit and deception.
