Anise & the Devil

Pitched as adapted from the Vasilisa the Fair fairy tale and as THROUGH THE WOODS meets MONSTRESS, in which after her mother is executed for witchcraft, a young woman realizes the only women wielding power in a puritanical world are the ones who have made deals with the devil; under the teaching of a witch, she rejects the world and embraces the role as a vicious young witch of the woods, but in the dark woods will she risk her humanity entirely or return to a society that loathes her?
