Beckman's Bane

Beckman Young, a lawyer at the firm Cadwell, Young, and Forester, thought he finally had his life together, but in one fell swoop it spiraled out of control. After his fiance leaves him for his twin brother on Christmas day, and a car accident that was more self-destructive than accidental, he heads home to figure out where he went wrong and how to put his life back together. But someone is trying to kill him and it's not just his life that's in danger. Autumn never expected to meet someone like Beckman, and in her father's bar, passed out drunk, and suffering from several injuries. She has commitment issues and lives with her cranky father above his bar. So, falling for Beckman isn't ideal. Neither is the fact that he's recently had his heart broken and it seems that one of his previous clients is trying to kill him. When you start the New Year with a broken heart and a death threat, it can only mean that things will get better. Otherwise, you'll end up dead.
