The Executioner's Apprentice And The Penitent Monk

The executioner and his apprentice are summoned to Norwich where their companion, Brother Timothy, has been asked to take the final confession of a monk accused of stealing bequests from his monastery's wealthy patrons. But with an embittered widow determined to recover her stolen gold at any cost the apprentice is soon cast into a web of intrigue that leaves his already fragile loyalties stretched to the limit.
