This sequence of 21 poems imagines the varied life experiences of astronomer Caroline Herschel, from scullery maid to astute observer of the night sky. Herschel is famous for discovering 8 comets, yet her life experiences are little known, in part because she burned her diaries. This chapbook of poems, based on research, presents turning points in her life.
