For God, Country and the Confederacy: Completing the Circle of Acceptance

This story is about the trials and tribulations of the St. Claire family, the free and the enslaved, during the first year of the Civil War, when support for the Confederacy was at its height in the free black community. For the St. Claire family, the year becomes a life and death struggle; and as with any war, some will be struck down defending of their beliefs.
