After The Night is about London in 2013. Or, more accurately, certain quarters in the Hoxton, Shoreditch, De Beauvoir, Dalston. Or perhaps it's simply a even more of a joke than La Nuit, the novel it is based on. If so, it may be one that comes at the expense of its protagonists.
