Post traumatic stress disorder is a horrible condition that is caused by experiencing an event that is so terrifying that you believe that you will die. Most people experience posttraumatic symptoms after such an event, but there are specific factors that lead to the "disorder" component of PTSD.I should know. I have PTSD and when I started having symptoms, I had no idea what was going on. One day, I was going about my business and the next, I thought I might be headed for the padded cell. If you have PTSD, you know how that feels. It did not take long to identify what the problem was, but it took about 2 years to get my head back together. I really didn't know what to do about it, as most survivors don't. Through a lot of trial and error, I did pull myself out of having PTSD symptoms 24/7. In a way, I had to wrestle with this disorder until it stopped kicking my rear end and stopped ruining my life. It wasn't easy for me and it won't be easy for you. But it is possible. You can survive this. You can get your sanity and your life back. You can function normally again and you can get your happiness back. You can- PTSD is not the end of the line. This book is about my experience and specifically how I pulled myself out of the spiraling pit of PTSD. This book is for families and supporters of those who have PTSD.If you are in a relationship with someone who has this disorder, there are thorough explanations and specific steps that you can take that will help. There are real answers here to Deal With AnxietyWhat to do About DepressionHow to Handle PTSD triggersSuicide- A Must ReadWhy Combat PTSD Is Particularly HorrificStrategies For VetsTons Of Information About SymptomsTons Of Tools That Really WorkPTSD is serious. It's seriously scary to go through and some don't make it. People don't understand and when you're suffering, you definitely can't explain it. By the time you are through reading this book, you will know the mindset of someone who has PTSD and how it feels. You will understand what is going on with your girlfriend, boyfriend, or spouse. You will "get it" and even better, you'll know what to do to help. In a way, I wrote the book that I really wish I had read - that my family had read-when I needed it. This book will help you get through this and point you toward healing.Pre- Launch "I found this book exactly when I needed it. You really explained what my husband is going through and I thank you."
