Sidetrip to Sand Springs

When Charley Bookbinder rode into Sand Springs, all he wanted was a thick steak, cold beer and a hot poker game. At the time, that didn’t sound like much. What he got was a crooked poker game with five of the town’s leading citizens; a twelve-foot monster with one eye; three kids; a rundown ranch with surly wranglers; and a spinster woman who keeps five thousand beeves for pets and likes to take potshots at men with her Kentucky Long Rifle. To top it all off, he learns he’s accused of a murder he didn’t commit and a necktie party is on the hunt for him.
