Michael Weiss Lieutenant Colonel Kfir Peled, commander of the elite Israeli Shimshonite Forces in Gaza, captures a suspected Palestinian terrorist and learns that an atomic bomb is on a journey to Tel-Aviv—to be detonated. During interrogation Kfir learns that the captive happens to be a Jewish dentist from New Jersey.
Months before, the Palestinian Sleeper, Doctor Benny Mizrachi, is awakened to his true identity—Mahmud ibn Salim ibn Faruk, born in the Jabalya refugee camp in Gaza. Mahmud learns that Benny and he is to immigrate to Israel, to deliver an atomic bomb for the cause of liberating Palestine. The atomic bomb is placed on the Dome of the Rock to hold Israel hostage, but is seized by another PLO faction group at the orders of Saddam Hussein, at which time Mahmud escapes to his origins, to Gaza.
Mahmud and Kfir, one Palestinian and one Israeli, one the captor and the other the captive, eventually unite to combat the impeding evil and terror.
All that unfolds in The Bomb on the Rock is meticulously intertwined with historical events that actually happened. This story too… may have actually happened.
