The First Fall

As a newcomer to Pine Grove, Maine, Kathryn Tanner is quickly drawn into the dark, complicated world of Christopher Prescott. In the wake of a tragic accident that claimed the life of Christopher’s girlfriend, the once high-achieving, popular athlete has fallen apart. He’s giving up on school and sports, self-medicating with booze and bong hits, and lashing out at his friends and family members when they try to help him cope. However, given her own turbulent childhood, Kathryn has learned a thing or two about pain, loneliness, and ultimately, survival. Does Kathryn stand a fighting chance at saving someone who has suchlittle interest in saving himself? Or, as she gives more of her heart to Christopher, will hers be the one that ultimately ends up broken?
